New Eagles Rumors Update Jaelan Phillips Contract Buzz Ahead of 2026 NFL Free Agency
The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly are making a push at re-signing a key free agent this offseason.
Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, talks between the Eagles and outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips "are expected to continue and intensify." Schultz added that Phillips "has a very strong market" and "is poised to cash in big if he reaches free agency."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that there has been "significant progress made" between the two sides, and the Eagles consider Phillips to be a "priority free agent." Rapoport added that "there is optimism" the Eagles will re-sign Phillips.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Phillips, a first-round draft pick in 2021, was traded to Philadelphia from the Miami Dolphins in November in return for a 2026 third-round pick. He finished the season with 53 tackles, five sacks, four passes defended and a forced fumble between his time with the Dolphins and Eagles.
The 26-year-old has a market value of $17.3 million per year, per Spotrac.
