Jordan Davis, Eagles Reportedly Agree to Historic $78M Contract Ahead of NFL Free Agency
The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly finalizing a three-year contract extension with defensive tackle Jordan Davis.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the three-year deal is worth $78 million with $65 million guaranteed, and it will make Davis the highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history at an average annual value of $26 million.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Davis, 26, has spent his entire four-year NFL career in Philadelphia after getting selected 13th overall by the Eagles in the 2022 NFL draft.
A former University of Georgia standout, Davis has started all 17 games for the Eagles in each of the past three seasons.
He was a key part of a defense that led the Eagles to a Super Bowl win at the conclusion of the 2024 campaign, and he is coming off the best statistical season of his career by far.
Davis set career highs in tackles (72), sacks (4.5), tackles for loss (nine) and passes defended (six) for an Eagles team that won the NFC East in 2025 before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
While Davis' former Georgia teammate and fellow Eagles defensive tackle, Jalen Carter, has often received more praise for Philly's defensive success over the past few years, Davis was arguably the more impactful player in 2025.
Carter was limited to 11 games due to injury last season, and he finished with 33 tackles, three sacks and seven passes defended.
Despite his numbers paling in comparison to Davis', Carter was named a Pro Bowler for a second straight year, while Davis has yet to earn a Pro Bowl berth.
The lack of accolades did not blind the Eagles with regard to Davis' value, though, as they opted to keep him in the fold with a historic contract extension.
Re-signing Davis ensures that he and Carter will continue to be a fearsome tandem along the Eagles' defensive line next season and beyond, and it should go along way toward keeping Philly in playoff and Super Bowl contention.
