Maxx Crosby Reportedly 'Giddy' After Ravens Trade from Raiders, Latest on Star's Injury Recovery
Going from a frequently-chaotic organization to one that is frequently at or near the top of the AFC standings has Maxx Crosby feeling good right now.
Per The Athletic's Vic Tafur, Crosby is "giddy" with his move to the Baltimore Ravens.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday night that the Ravens agreed to trade their first-round picks in 2026 and 2027 to the Las Vegas Raiders for the five-time Pro Bowler.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
As for where things stand with Crosby's knee after undergoing surgery on Jan. 7, Tafur noted he is "expected to pass his physical" when Baltimore's medical staff examines him next week.
The surgery was to repair a torn meniscus after Crosby played through a knee injury for most of the 2025 season before the Raiders shut him down prior to Week 17.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported at the time of the Raiders' announcement they were shutting Crosby down that he was expected to have a "quick recovery" from surgery.
Speaking to reporters on Jan. 21, Crosby said he knew back in September that his knee would require surgery and promised to be "more than ready" for the start of training camp this summer.
Despite the season-long issues with his knee, Crosby had another strong season in 2025. He finished with a career-high 28 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in 15 games.
The Ravens made a big bet on Crosby helping to fix a pass-rush that was often absent last year. They finished tied for 28th in sacks (30) and 28th in ESPN's pass-rush win rate metric.
No player on Baltimore's defense had more than nine tackles for loss or five sacks. Crosby has never had a season with fewer than 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks during his seven-year tenure with the Raiders.
Despite Crosby's consistently high level of play, the Raiders have the sixth-worst record in the NFL since his rookie year in 2019. The Ravens have the fourth-best record in the league during that span.
