Puka Nacua Reacts to Trent McDuffie Being Traded to Rams from Chiefs, Replies to Old Post
Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua appears to be very pleased with the team's newest acquisition.
After the Rams acquired cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs, Nacua celebrated the news by reposting an old tweet from 2019 where he shouted out his former Washington teammate.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Rams sent the 29th pick in the 2026 NFL draft, fifth- and sixth-round picks this year and a third-round selection in 2027 to the Chiefs to acquire McDuffie. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that he's expected to be signed to a new contract that will make him the highest-paid cornerback in the league, so he and Nacua will be wearing the same uniform once again for the foreseeable future.
Nacua and McDuffie entered Washington together as part of the team's 2019 recruiting class and spent two seasons together before Nacua transferred to BYU for the final two years of his college career.
Nacua's original tweet was prompted by McDuffie's fumble recovery in a competitive 33-28 loss to No. 9 Utah while playing as a true freshman. Nacua was out of action that day after suffering a foot injury that cut his freshman season short after eight appearances for the Huskies.
The Rams are motivated to make it back to the Super Bowl after making a run to the NFC Championship Game this past season. Acquiring McDuffie is a step in the right direction and a move that will keep Nacua happy as Los Angeles tries to compete for a title in 2026.
