Kurt Warner Questions Malik Willis Getting Huge Contract amid NFL Free Agency Rumors
Malik Willis is receiving plenty of hype ahead of this year's NFL free agency. There isn't much to go on for prospective suitors from a tape perspective, however, as they mull whether to sign the quarterback the big contract numbers that have been floating around.
Just ask Kurt Warner.
"My conclusion is that there are really 28 dropbacks (I took out screens, quick pick-and-stick throws at five yards and quick scrambles) over the last two years that will determine his future!" the Hall of Famer wrote on social media after reviewing Willis' tape from the past few years. "That is crazy to think about if we are talking $25-30 million a year!"

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Willis, 26, has made all of six starts in his four NFL seasons (22 overall appearances), throwing for 1,322 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 67.7 percent of his passes. He's also rushed for 405 yards and four touchdowns, and it's his dynamic ability with his legs that might inspire teams to take a big financial risk on him this offseason.
Time will tell if Willis can make a major leap as a starter. Signing him will be something of a leap of faith.
