Shedeur Sanders, Todd Monken Photo Shared by Browns After HC's Praise of QB
The Cleveland Browns shared a photo of new head coach Todd Monken with Shedeur Sanders on Tuesday ahead of what could be a QB1 competition this offseason in Ohio.
Sanders, who finished out last season as the Browns' starter, currently joins Deshaun Watson and Dillon Gabriel as one of three quarterbacks signed to Cleveland's roster for 2026.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Monken told reporters during his introductory press conference in early February that which quarterback would be starting in Week 1 was "still to be determined," which is something Sanders later said he had expected.
The newly-hired Browns coach still took an opportunity during last week's NFL scouting combine to praise Sanders' "elite playmaking ability."
"Sure, there's a ways to go, but what rookie isn't? What first-year player doesn't have a long way to go?" Monken asked last Wednesday in Indianapolis. "So I'm excited to get started with him, and all of our quarterbacks."
Monken and general manager Andrew Berry will need to decide whether the franchise wants to bring in more competition for the QB1 role before OTAs start later this spring. The free agency and trade window opens March 11 before the 2026 NFL draft starts April 23 in Pittsburgh.
