Yankees' Aaron Judge Reveals Inspiring Text from Phillies' Bryce Harper That Gave Him 'Chills'

Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper provided Aaron Judge with a sage piece of wisdom the New York Yankees slugger intends to carry with him at the plate.

Appearing Monday on The Pat McAfee Show, Judge said Harper messaged him prior to the 2025 MLB playoffs and advised him to "own the moment, don't let the moment own you."

The three-time MVP said he "chills" as the words fully sunk in and he understood there's only so much he can control on the diamond.

Perhaps not coincidentally, Judge was excellent last postseason. In seven games, he batted .500 with seven RBI.

With the Bronx Bombers in a must-win situation, he hit a game-tying home run in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Toronto Blue Jays.

While New York went on to win, the Blue Jays clinched the series the following night.

Guiding the Yankees on a deeper October run is Judge's overarching goal for 2026. For now, his focus will be elsewhere.

The right fielder is representing the United States alongside Harper in the World Baseball Classic. Team USA's first game is Friday against Brazil.

Given the stacked roster at Mark DeRosa's disposal, the U.S. will be a big favorite to win the whole thing. Judge's contributions could be crucial toward securing a second WBC title.
