Unrivaled announced that Phantom center Aliyah Boston will miss the remainder of the season due to right lower extremity injury.

The revelation of Boston's season-ending injury comes just one day after she was named the 2026 Unrivaled Defensive Player of the Year. She averaged 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks this season, finishing with 29 blocks in just 14 games. She was also named second-team All-Unrivaled for her efforts this year.

Boston was a key contributor for a Phantom team that went 11-3 and finished the regular season with a seven-game win streak. Phantom BC's Roneeka Hodges was also named Coach of the Year, while star guard Kelsey Plum was named first-team All-Unrivaled.

Phantom will be taking on Vinyl BC in the Unrivaled playoff semifinals on Monday night. Without Boston in the lineup, forward Kiki Iriafen will likely take over as the team's primary big.

Boston, who stars for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, could be forced to miss more than just the Unrivaled playoffs. The 24-year-old is also a member for the Team USA roster for the upcoming FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament, which begins on March 11 and runs through March 17 in Puerto Rico. While the severity of her injury wasn't specified, her status for the tournament now appears to be in question.
