Mike Evans, Romeo Doubs, Rashid Shaheed's NFL Free Agency Market Updated in Fresh Rumors

Scott PolacekMar 1, 2026

There are a number of wide receivers generating interest in the early portion of the NFL offseason, including six-time Pro Bowler Mike Evans.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Sunday that Evans plans on limiting his suitors "to a handful of teams" because he is looking for "a quarterback he believes in, a chance at a Super Bowl, a top-shelf offensive coordinator and the promise of high-volume touches."

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are "aggressively pursuing re-signing" him, which isn't surprising considering he is a franchise legend.

Since being selected with the No. 7 overall pick of the 2014 NFL draft, Evans posted more than 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 11 years with the team and only had the streak broken last season because injuries limited him to eight games.

He is also first in franchise history in receptions (866), receiving yards (13,052) and receiving touchdowns (108).

While Evans is one of the headliners, he isn't the only wide receiver who could be on the market.

Fowler reported the Buffalo Bills are expected to address the position in the near future with Rashid Shaheed and Romeo Doubs as possible targets since "Alec Pierce will most likely be out of their price range."

Fowler also noted the Las Vegas Raiders like Shaheed as a deep threat.

The Raiders could use more receivers assuming they are going to draft Indiana's Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick. Surrounding the rookie playmaker with weapons will help maximize his chances at success, and Shaheed has averaged 14.7 yards per reception throughout his career.

As for the Bills, Khalil Shakir was the only wide receiver on the team who even hit the 500-yard mark last season, and his 719 yards didn't exactly lead the league.

Josh Allen needs more consistent weapons on the outside if he is ever going to get over the hump and win a Super Bowl, and Shaheed or Doubs would provide just that.
