A.J. Brown Trade Rumors Updated by NFL Insiders, Eagles Linked to Veteran WR in Potential Deal
The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly open to trading wide receiver A.J. Brown but only if potential suitors are willing to meet their high asking price.
ESPN's Dan Graziano reported Sunday the Eagles' asking price is "too high" for other teams at this point, noting "they don't want to just get rid of Brown or need him off the team for any chemistry reasons. … it sounds like they'd have to be blown away."
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that even though other teams see a second-round pick included in a package as his "true trade value," that might not be enough for Philadelphia. Fowler also suggested general manager Howie Roseman could look for a veteran wide receiver such as Chris Olave of the New Orleans Saints or Courtland Sutton of the Denver Broncos in a deal for Brown.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
This comes after ESPN's Peter Schrager reported Thursday that Roseman had a "difference in tone" when it came to potentially moving on from Brown and was at least "listening" to offers.
However, Roseman told reporters after the season, "it's hard to find great players in the NFL, and A.J.'s a great player" before doubling down on that line of thinking at the NFL Scouting Combine:
There is also the financial component to consider.
Geoffrey A. Knox of USA Today's Eagles Wire explained trading Brown prior to June 1 would mean a cap hit of $43.5 million compared to $16.3 million in 2026 and $27.2 million in 2027 if the trade happened after June 1.
Still, when someone as proven as the Ole Miss product is potentially available, teams will surely be interested. Fowler said the New England Patriots would be a "logical destination," although Graziano reported the conversation likely won't get far for any team unless a first-round pick is included.
Brown helped lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl title during the 2024 campaign and is a three-time Pro Bowler with more than 1,000 receiving yards in six of his seven seasons since he entered the league as a second-round draft pick in 2019.
He also had more than 1,400 receiving yards in back-to-back years in 2022 and 2023.
At just 28 years old, Brown could be a No. 1 receiver for the foreseeable future for a team that traded for him this offseason. But that team will need to give up plenty in return for an Eagles club that will still be in win-now mode in 2026.
