Carnell Tate Hypes Giants as Potential NFL Draft Landing Spot After Meeting, 'It Would Be Great'
As the New York Giants hope to get Malik Nabers back at full strength coming off a torn ACL, they could take some of the pressure off him by adding a player like Carnell Tate in the 2026 NFL draft.
Speaking to reporters from the NFL scouting combine, Tate was very open to the Giants by saying "it would be great" to end up in New York.

"It would be great," said Tate. "It would be a great opportunity, especially playing in New York. Big showcase. I'd love to go out there and play in New York."
Tate also confirmed he had a meeting with Giants officials during the combine, saying that it went "great" and they used their time to go over film.
The Giants are in an interesting spot with their roster right now. They used the No. 6 pick in the 2024 draft on Nabers, but his injury and their lack of depth at wide receiver opens up the possibility of adding a receiver early once again.
But there are so many needs on this roster that they could go in any number of directions. Jaxson Dart got hit a lot during his rookie year, in part due to his aggressive style of play, but also because the offensive line wasn't very good.
Per NFL.com's Matt Okada, the Giants offensive line allowed the seventh-highest pressure rate in the league last season. Their secondary is a mess with Paulson Adebo, Deonte Banks and Rico Payton as the top three cornerbacks on the depth chart.
B/R's post-Super Bowl mock draft projected the Giants to take Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa with their top pick at No. 5 overall. Tate was the second receiver off the board at No. 13 to the Los Angeles Rams.
A two-year starter at Ohio State, Tate finished second on the Buckeyes with 875 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2025.
