Maxx Crosby Gives Knee Injury Update in Video Amid NFL Offseason, Raiders Trade Rumors

Las Vegas Raiders star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby provided an update regarding his recovery from knee surgery on social media.

"No crutches anymore," Crosby said in a video of himself shooting a basketball posted to X on Friday. "We're walking, we're moving."

He suffered the injury during the 2025 season and initially played through it before undergoing surgery on Jan. 7.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler previously reported that Crosby's chances of returning to the Raiders for the 2026 season were "pretty small" despite the lack of a trade request.

The five-time Pro Bowler was shut down for Las Vegas' final two games of the regular season due to the knee issue, with Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reporting that Crosby "vehemently disagreed" and left the team's facilities when informed of the decision.

The Raiders went 1-1 without him, securing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Fowler noted that Las Vegas is in a "major rebuilding phase" after missing the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season and could part ways with Crosby in order to gain more draft capital.

Raiders general manager John Spytek was confident that the 28-year-old would remain with the team in 2026, though.

"Maxx and I have a great relationship," Spytek said Tuesday, via NFL.com's Kevin Patra. "He's in the building every day getting healthy right now. We talk on the phone, we text. So I have a great relationship with Maxx."

"Maxx is an elite player, and I've been very upfront from the start when I got here that we're in the business of having really good players on the team and we need a lot more of them," he added. "It's hard to build a great team without elite players."

Crosby wrapped up a strong 2025 season, recording 73 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 20 quarterback hits, 10 sacks, six passes defended and two forced fumbles.

While his long-term future in Las Vegas remains uncertain, he's making progress in his recovery.
