USA Women's Hockey Team to Celebrate Olympic Gold-Medal Win at July Event With Flavor Flav

The United States women's hockey team will celebrate its gold medal victory in the 2026 Winter Olympics with rapper Flavor Flav.

He announced a "She Got Game" weekend event in Las Vegas to honor the women's hockey team and other female athletes beginning on July 16 in a Thursday post on X.

Flavor Flav initially posted an invitation for the team on Monday.

"If the USA Women's Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite ,,, I'll host them in Las Vegas. Do some nice dinners and shows and good times," he wrote, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). "I'm sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real."

The six-time Grammy Award nominee is known for his support of women's Olympic athletes, helping to pay the rent of discus thrower Veronica Fraley in Aug. 2024 before presenting gymnast Jordan Chiles with a bronze medal clock one month later.

As for the U.S. women's hockey team, they're coming off an impressive run at the 2026 Games.

Following decisive victories over Italy in the quarterfinals and Spain in the semifinals, Team USA took down Canada by the final score of 2-1 to capture gold after Megan Keller's game-winning goal in overtime.

The victory gave the United States its third Olympic gold medal in the event.
