After Veronica Fraley's viral social media post on Thursday, the United States Olympian revealed that she paid her rent Friday in the wake of multiple donations, including one from rapper Flavor Flav.
The U.S. discus thrower, who is also a student at Vanderbilt, explained in a Thursday post on X that she was unable to pay the entirety of her rent.

Fraley received support from Flavor Flav, who responded to the post and offered to send her the payment immediately so that she wouldn't have to worry about rent during her Olympic debut on Friday.
The six-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper later confirmed that Fraley received enough donations that her rent was paid off for the year. A GoFundMe page was set up for the 24-year-old to support her track and field journey, raising over $16,000 from more than 400 donations since Thursday.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member has been heavily involved with supporting U.S. Olympic athletes. On July 1, he signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the USA Water Polo Women's and Men's National Teams to elevate the visibility of the sport.
As for Fraley, she'll begin her Olympic run on Friday in the qualifying round as a member of Group B. Her group will start at 2:20 p.m. ET.
