Latest NFL Rumors on Malik Willis' Market, Projected Contract from Interested Teams in Free Agency
Free-agent quarterback Malik Willis is likely headed toward a massive payday, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Schultz reported Wednesday that Willis "is in demand," and some around the league believe it's a "foregone conclusion" he could get $30 million or more annually.
The 2022 third-round pick made three starts and appeared in 11 games with the Green Bay Packers over the past two seasons. He looked like a vastly different passer than the one who was cast aside by the Tennessee Titans.

Ranking Every NFL Defense After 2026 Draft 📊
Willis threw for 972 yards and six touchdowns to zero interceptions while filling in for Jordan Love.
Despite the fact he remains unproven as a starter over a full season, the 26-year-old is sitting in a prime position.
The QB options are thin in both in free agency and the draft.
Willis and Daniel Jones are the two best on the open market, and the latter is recovering from a major Achilles injury. Kirk Cousins, who will be released by the Atlanta Falcons, doesn't change the landscape much.
Meanwhile, Indiana's Fernando Mendoza (No. 4) and Alabama's Ty Simpson (No. 28) are the only quarterbacks to crack the top 50 in Bleacher Report's 2026 draft big board.
Teams in need of QB help will have to take a big leap of faith in some form.
And for as much as a $30 million valuation for Willis is a bit eye-popping, that would rank 20th at the position in 2026. Almost everyone earning less than Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Baker Mayfield ($33.3 million) is still on a rookie deal or was signed specifically to be a backup.
With Willis, the devil could be in the details. He's going to get a massive pay raise. The length of his contract and how much cash is guaranteed could help to mitigate some of the risk for whatever team signs him.
