The Dallas Cowboys may also be a fit for Wagner, as Dallas struggled to slow down opposing offenses throughout its 2025 campaign. The Cowboys owned the worst scoring defense in the NFL, allowing 30.1 points on a weekly basis.
Among AFC teams that could show interest in Wagner, the Buffalo Bills are an intriguing potential option.
The Bills made their seventh consecutive playoff appearance last season, but gave up 33 points to the Denver Broncos as they were eliminated in the divisional round.
Buffalo ranked No. 28 among all teams in run defense in 2025, allowing opponents to rush for 136.2 yards per game.
While Wagner hasn't been as adept in pass coverage in recent years, he's still a stout run defender. He racked up 162 tackles and eight tackles for loss during his 2025 campaign.
Wagner sits at No. 3 on the NFL's all-time tackles leaderboard.
He made his presence felt as a pass-rusher as well in 2025, amassing nine quarterback hits and 4.5 sacks. Wagner also generated 20 pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.
While the 10-time Pro Bowler has already established himself as one of the top inside linebackers in NFL history, he isn't hanging up his cleats just yet.
