Dolphins GM Open to Trade Offers on Minkah Fitzpatrick, Jaylen Waddle, De'Von Achane
Miami Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan told reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Tuesday that the team is listening to trade offers for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
While the Dolphins would also hear offers on wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and running back De'Von Achane, Sullivan made clear the team is looking for them to remain in town.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Dolphins are under new front office leadership this year after the team and general manager Chris Grier mutually parted ways in October. They also fired head coach Mike McDaniel on Jan. 8. Miami hired Sullivan, who was serving as the Green Bay Packers' vice president of player personnel, one day later. On Jan. 19, the Dolphins brought over Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to be their head coach.
The Dolphins have missed the playoffs each of the last two seasons and gone 15-19 overall during that stretch. They've already made one major move this offseason by parting ways with former No. 1 wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
Now it appears the Dolphins might move on from the 29-year-old Fitzpatrick, who started 14 games last year and amassed 82 tackles, six pass breakups and an interception. He is an eight-year veteran, five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro.
Fitzpatrick landed in town last June alongside a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Steelers for a 2027 seventh-round pick, cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith. He has one year left on a contract that carries a cap hit of $18.8 million, per Over the Cap. The Dolphins could also release Fitzpatrick, designate him as a post-June 1 cut and save $15.6 million on the cap.
On offense, the Dolphins have major questions on their roster, starting at quarterback. Tua Tagovailoa was benched last season due to performance issues, leading to a late-season benching. Sullivan told reporters he's spoken with Tagovailoa and his camp and that all options are on the table with him, including a trade.
However, it's clear the Dolphins want to retain Achane and Waddle, who was the team's WR1 in Hill's absence.
Achane just had his best season as a pro, amassing 1,838 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns. His 5.7 yards per carry led the NFL. He has played all three of his NFL seasons in Miami.
Waddle caught 64 passes for 910 yards and six touchdowns. He's a five-year vet who amassed 1,000 or more yards in his first three seasons.
So while those two should likely stay aboard, Miami is clearly making moves elsewhere as Sullivan looks to construct a team that can compete in a tough AFC East, which is currently paced by the defending conference champion New England Patriots and the Buffalo BIlls, a perennial playoff team led by 2024 NFL MVP and quarterback Josh Allen.
