Giants GM Joe Schoen 'Open' to Trading Down From No. 5 NFL Draft Pick, Will 'Look at All Options'
The New York Giants haven't ruled out the possibility of trading out of the No. 5 pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
While speaking to reporters at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Giants general manager Joe Schoen explained that the team will listen to offers for their first-round pick.
"We're gonna look at all options. We're open to moving back if an opportunity is there," Schoen said. "We're also fine staying and taking a pick of a player there. If you can't get out of five, there's always a chance in the second round if you want to move back, or if there's a good player, you can sit and take him, or you can move back into the first round. So, we're gonna keep all of our options open."

Biggest Questions Surrounding 2026 NFL Season After the Draft 🤔
This marks the third straight year that the Giants are picking in the top 10. They used the No. 6 pick in 2024 to select star receiver Malik Nabers and the No. 3 pick last year to add edge rusher Abdul Carter.
The Giants are entering a new era under new head coach John Harbaugh, who undoubtedly will have some say in the team's decision-making leading up to the NFL draft in April. New York has a lot of holes to fill across its roster, so perhaps it would be wise to add more assets by trading the No. 5 pick.
However, the Giants won't be alone in their trade explorations. Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported on Tuesday that the Browns "will explore another blockbuster trade down in the draft" from the No. 6 pick.
Things will continue to heat up during the combine this week as Schoen and other execs mix and mingle while discussing their trade options for this offseason.
