Early Predictions for 2026 MLB Trade Deadline 🔮
2026 World Series Odds
- Los Angeles Dodgers: +225
- New York Yankees: +950
- Seattle Mariners: +1300
- Toronto Blue Jays: +1400
- New York Mets: +1400
The Dodgers are bringing back most of their stacked roster from their 2025 championship run, including a rotation led by reigning World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani in what is expected to be his first full two-way season since 2023.
After struggling with bullpen depth late in their run to a second straight championship, Los Angeles has also bolstered its pitching depth by signing star closer Edwin Díaz in free agency.
The Yankees are looking to repeat the club's 2024 run to the World Series after bringing back key players like Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham and Paul Goldschmidt this offseason.
New York will hope bringing back those key offensive players, ahead of the anticipated returns of both Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodón from elbow procedures, will help the club build on their 94-win season from 2025.
The Mariners lost Jorge Polanco and Eugenio Suárez this offseason, and they could be facing a potential regression from Cal Raleigh following a career season in 2025.
Seattle is also heading into a first full season with Josh Naylor, however, who will join trade acquisition Brendan Donovan in the lineup. The Mariners will now hope bringing in Naylor and Donovan can help them take another step forward after coming within one win of a trip to the World Series last fall.
The Blue Jays took the Dodgers to seven games in the 205 World Series, and they've since added Dylan Cease to their rotation. They've also brought in NPB infielder Kazuma Okamoto as a potential replacement for Bo Bichette.
Cease's consistency and Okamoto's ability to adapt to MLB will both be key to Toronto's hopes of making another run to the Fall Classic.
The Mets took a different approach than their cross-city rivals this offseason, parting ways with core players including Díaz, Pete Alonso and Brandon Nimmo and Jeff McNeil.
The club then brought in Bo Bichette, who will join Jorge Polanco as freshly-signed Mets trying out new infield positions this offseason, and bolstered the rotation with the addition of Freddy Peralta.
While teams like the Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies largely look to run things back in 2026, the Mets will see what a roster overhaul will do to the club's chances of returning to postseason contention.
The 2026 MLB season kicks off on March 25 with an Opening Night matchup between the New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants.
