Liverpool Transfer News: Alexandre Lacazette Wants Move, Alberto Moreno Rumours
Liverpool have reportedly been given a boost in their pursuit of Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette as the striker has supposedly asked to leave the Ligue 1 club.
The Reds have linked with the Frenchman and may still be eager to snap him up if he is available despite the recent additions of Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Roberto Firmino to their attack in a fruitful transfer window, per Bleacher Report's Andy Brassell:
If the interest is still there from Liverpool and manager Brendan Rodgers, they will no doubt have been boosted by the fact that Lacazette has reportedly asked Lyon to "listen to any potential offers from abroad," per French newspaper L'Equipe (h/t Metro's Lee Thomas-Mason).

Per Thomas-Mason, 24-year-old Lacazette is available for around £21 million, a bargain for a player of his quality in a transfer market short on top strikers.
The France international netted 27 times in 33 Ligue 1 matches last season, and he was the most prolific scorer in the division by some distance, per WhoScored.com.
His future at Lyon does seem to be up in the air somewhat with recent reports suggesting the club were unsatisfied with his attitude, per L'Equipe (h/t French football writer Matt Spiro):
However, even if he is available to buy, Liverpool are perhaps unlikely to go in for him despite their long-term links to Lacazette.
The signing of Ings, Firmino and Benteke has added previously absent depth to the Reds forward line, and club chief executive Ian Ayre recently suggested their business was done for the summer, per talkSPORT's Ian Abrahams:
Lacazette could perhaps have made the switch to Liverpool ahead of bolstering their attack, and he would have been a fine addition.
But it now seems an unlikely switch, with Lacazette also potentially loath to join a club where he would have to fight for a starting spot.
Moreno Doubts Arise
Alberto Moreno looks set to be usurped as the first-choice left-back at Liverpool by 18-year-old summer arrival Joe Gomez, throwing doubts over the Spaniard's future at Anfield.
Despite being a natural centre-back, Gomez has excelled on the left of defence in pre-season and Rodgers looks set to start him this weekend for Liverpool's first match of the new Premier League season at Stoke City, per the Telegraph's Chris Bascombe.
The Britannia Stadium was the scene for Liverpool's final-day 6-1 mauling by Stoke in May, a match in which Moreno was substituted at half-time after his defensive frailties had been brutally exposed.
Per David Maddock in the Mirror, Rodgers has had his doubts about Moreno since signing him for £12 million from Sevilla last summer, and the emergence of Gomez could see the 23-year-old offloaded.
With Roma and Sevilla reportedly interested in the Spain international, Rodgers could look to get rid of Moreno and raise funds to invest in a replacement, per Maddock.
Moreno arguably deserves another chance to prove himself, but with Gomez impressing, he will have to work hard to get back in the side.
