WWE NXT: Full Preview, Match Card and More for August 5

Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's episode of WWE NXT, where we take a spoiler-free look at what's in store for the developmental brand's upcoming episode.

With the next TakeOver live special coming up in less than three weeks, the men and women of NXT are starting to push themselves harder in preparation for the big event.

As of this writing, the only match announced for the event, according to WWE.com, is the NXT Championship rematch between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens. That means everyone still has a chance to make it on the card.

Let's take a look at what's on tap for this week's episode of NXT.

The Tag Teams

Two of the newer teams in the NXT tag team division will face off when The Hype Bros—Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley—take on Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.

Wilder and Dawson are coming off the biggest win of their careers over Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady last week. They will look to continue building their momentum so they can earn a title shot.

Ryder and Rawley have been pushing their partnership hard on social media. They seem to be a good fit, as they have similar personalities and are struggling to remain relevant while others pass them by.

Seeing as both teams are hungry for success, this should be a fun match as long as they are given enough time.

Since The Vaudevillains failed to win the tag titles last week, whichever team wins this match could find itself in the running for a shot at Team BAMF at TakeOver: Brooklyn.

The Women

If you have never bothered to check out NXT, this is the week to give it a shot because two of the most beloved women in the company will be facing each other when Bayley battles Charlotte.

These two have had some classic matches, and this one should be no different. They have built up such a great chemistry that it seems impossible for them to do anything less than steal the show.

With Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch tearing things up on the main roster, it feels like the right time for Bayley to ascend and take her rightful place at the top of the women's division.

She has a loyal following and the kind of charisma that cannot be taught. Add that to her stellar performances in the ring, and you have the formula for a future Divas champion.

If Bayley is able to defeat her old nemesis, she will be a lock for a shot at the Women's Championship, which Sasha Banks currently holds. This is a match you don't want to miss.

The Men

Three singles matches are scheduled to take place this week. The first two will feature Baron Corbin and Tyler Breeze each taking on an enhancement talent.

For those of you who don't know, "enhancement talent" is code for "jobber." If one of them ends up losing, it will be a huge surprise to everyone.

The real attraction is the main event, which will see two monsters go head-to-head when Samoa Joe takes on Rhyno, a man he knows well from their days in TNA.

It's unlikely WWE will acknowledge their history from before WWE, but that doesn't matter. All that matters is that we will get to see them tear each other apart.

This won't be a technical clinic. It will be a fight in every sense of the word. It will be a surprise if one of them doesn't spill blood.

If Rhyno picks up the win, it's almost a guarantee they will have a rematch at TakeOver. After all, Joe is the new guy with a push, and having him lose without getting revenge wouldn't make sense.

Each division has one match that looks promising, but we will have to tune in to see which one steals the show. What are you looking forward to on this week's episode of NXT?
