Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark doesn't plan on emulating LeBron James' diet change while preparing for the 2026 season.

After the Los Angeles Lakers star revealed that he gave up eating cookies and drinking wine while recovering from a back injury, Clark reacted to his admission in an Instagram comment.

"I'd rather retire than do this," Clark wrote. "This is why he's him."

On Tuesday's episode of the Mind the Game podcast, James told co-host Steve Nash that the change was made while he was recovering from sciatica on his right side to open the 2025-26 season.

"So I wasn't playing, obviously, as the season started," James said. "So I needed to give up something. I gotta sacrifice something and I actually did two things that I very love, and that is drinking wine and my chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I completely took it out."

As for Clark, injuries limited her to just 13 appearances during her 2025 campaign after she suited up in all 40 regular-season contests as a rookie. She averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 assists to go along with 1.6 steals per game, shooting 36.7 percent from the field.

Now, Clark is looking to bounce back and help the Fever build upon their 2025 playoff run after they advanced to the WNBA Semifinals for the first time since 2015.
