'Harry Potter' Star Daniel Radcliffe Explains How He Became 'Huge' NFL Fan After 2011 Musical
Longtime actor Daniel Radcliffe's football fandom was bred in an unlikely way.
Radcliffe, who was born in London and is best known for his lead role in the Harry Potter film series, told Julia Moore of People that his interest in the NFL grew out of necessity.
"I did a musical here in 2011, and they started a fantasy football league," he explained. "They needed someone to make up the numbers, and so I got involved."

However, Radcliffe admitted that after joining, he "didn't do anything with my account for four weeks, and then somebody was like, 'You're bottom of the league.' I was like, 'Okay, well, I've got to do something.'"
From there, Radcliffe said he "got into it and then never looked back." Now, he declared, "I'm a huge NFL fan."
Radcliffe's football fandom has increased so much that he's in "two fantasy leagues, one of which I run with my girlfriend. We're all in now."
The 36-year-old is set to star alongside the legendary Tracy Morgan in an all-new NBC comedy, The Fall & Rise of Reggie Dinkins. According to Moore, Radcliffe's role "sees him play a down-on-his-luck director who decides to film a documentary about disgraced football player Reggie (Morgan) in an attempt to rehabilitate his public image."
