Cooper Kupp Makes Joke About Bill Belichick's Hall of Fame Snub After Seahawks' Super Bowl Win
Fresh off winning a second Super Bowl title, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp couldn't help but make light of Bill Belichick's recent Hall of Fame misfortune.
Kupp was a guest on the newest episode of the New Heights podcast, which dropped Wednesday. Co-host Travis Kelce brought up recent comments from Seattle coach Mike Macdonald, who argued Kupp should be headed for the Hall of Fame. Macdonald cited the pair of Super Bowl rings and MVP honors in Super Bowl LVI, adding that the veteran pass-catcher is an "all-time great teammate."
Kupp stayed humble.

"You don't go to the Hall of Fame for being a great teammate," he said at the 19:52 mark. "But you don't go to the Hall of Fame for winning six Super Bowls, either, we just learned."
That's an unnecessary stray for Belichick, who seemingly hasn't done anything in the past to personally draw Kupp's ire.
But Belichick missing out on Hall of Fame induction was one of the biggest stories in the NFL once the news got out. Almost everyone assumed he'd be headed to Canton, Ohio, on the first ballot given what he accomplished on the sideline as a defensive coordinator first and then a head coach.
Instead, the wait continues for the former New England Patriots coach, and this might remain an occasional source of mockery until he has a gold jacket hanging in his closet.
