How Many People Watched Bad Bunny's NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show Featuring Lady Gaga, More?
Bad Bunny's legendary Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show on Sunday was quite the draw.
NBC Sports announced Tuesday that Bad Bunny's epic performance drew an average audience of 128.2 million viewers from 8:15-8:30 p.m. ET in the United States.
The announcement also noted it was "the most-consumed halftime show of all-time on NFL social platforms" with more than four billion social views in the first 24 hours.
As for the game itself, the Super Bowl averaged 124.9 million viewers overall, peaking at a U.S. television-record 137.8 million in the second quarter.
A six-time Grammy Award winner, Bad Bunny put together an incredible showcase of his Puerto Rican culture with an iconic performance that also featured legendary pop artists Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin. He used his platform to express unifying messages, including "The only thing more powerful than hate is love," and "Together, we are America."
Apple Music announced in a release that Bad Bunny's performance "generated unprecedented engagement from fans around the globe." The YouTube video of the Halftime Show has more than 61 million views since being uploaded on Monday.
Bad Bunny's performance was one of the highlights of Sunday night, as Super Bowl 60 featured a dominant 29-13 win by the Seattle Seahawks over the New England Patriots in a game that wasn't close in the second half.
Bad Bunny's love letter to his home of Puerto Rico will go down as one of the most memorable Halftime Shows the Super Bowl has ever produced, and now he has the numbers to solidify his place in history.
