The Seattle Seahawks agreed to a new contract with wide receiver Rashid Shaheed on Monday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Shaheed signed a three-year, $51 million deal to stay with Seattle.

The Seahawks were able to bring him back despite his uncertain future, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported March 4 that both sides were "said to not be close to an extension" and the receiver was going to test the free-agent market.

The 27-year-old opened his career with the New Orleans Saints in 2022 before he was traded from New Orleans to the Seahawks in Nov. 2025.

Shaheed served as a deep threat in the Saints' passing attack while also making his presence felt on special teams, operating as a return specialist.

He caught 138 passes for 2,055 yards during his tenure with New Orleans, scoring 13 total touchdowns. Shaheed also returned 64 punts for 804 yards over that span, earning First Team All-Pro honors for his work on special teams during the 2023 season.

He wasn't a major factor in Seattle's offense after the trade, hauling in 15 receptions for 188 yards in nine games after amassing 499 yards in nine appearances on the Saints to open the year.

Still, Shaheed was able to earn his second Pro Bowl nod as a returner.

He averaged 29.8 yards per return on kickoffs and 14.7 yards per return on punts, with both marks ranking No. 5 in the NFL. Shaheed was the only player in the league to finish within the top five of both categories.

His prowess as a returner was on full display during the divisional round of the playoffs with Seattle, as he brought back the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the team's 41-6 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

As the Seahawks enter the 2026 season looking to defend their Super Bowl title, Shaheed will be staying with the organization.
