Seahawks' Devon Witherspoon Reveals Patriots OL 'Had a Tell' During Super Bowl 60
The Seattle Seahawks defense overwhelmed Drake Maye and the New England Patriots during Sunday's 29-13 victory in the Super Bowl, but the battle might have been won before the snap.
Cornerback Devon Witherspoon told SiriusXM NFL Radio (h/t Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk) the defense "had a tell" on the Patriots' offensive line thanks to film study and the game plan head coach Mike Macdonald put together.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
"I knew what was going on," Witherspoon said. "We had a good tell on what they like to do and how they like to play and how they were going to attack us. Coach put us in the best position to win. That's our coach right there, that's why we always stand beside him and always have his back.
"We had a tell on their guards and their tackles, how they like to set, they're going to overset on certain rushes, they're going to fall for certain moves any time a group of guys get after them, and today I think we did that."
All that study certainly paid off for Witherspoon, who was one of the best players on the field with four tackles, three quarterback hits, a pass defended and a sack. His pressure in the fourth quarter also forced the ball out on Uchenna Nwosu's pick-six.
Seattle sacked Maye six times and consistently pressured him throughout the game. Left tackle Will Campbell in particular looked lost trying to block the Seahawks' defensive front, and he ended up allowing 14 quarterback pressures.
According to Next Gen Stats, that was the most pressures an offensive lineman allowed in a single game this season.
Maye could only do so much given the overall struggles of his offensive line, and Witherspoon's comments provided a glimpse at how the Seahawks were able to set the tone up front during the dominant win.
