Former Jets HC Adam Gase Reportedly Agrees to Contract on Jim Harbaugh's Chargers Staff
Former New York Jets coach Adam Gase is returning to an NFL staff.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Gase will be an assistant for the Los Angeles Rams with an emphasis on the passing game.
This is the first official job he has had since the Jets fired him following the 2020 season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Across five seasons as a head coach with New York and the Miami Dolphins, Gase had a 32-48 record.
Miami originally hired him in 2016 on the strength of his reputation as an offensive coach. The 47-year-old was the Denver Broncos offensive coordinator for two years and held the same role with the Chicago Bears in 2015.
Gase's offenses never finished better than 24th in yards when he was a head coach. The Jets jettisoned him after back-to-back last-place finishes in the category.
Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh made a big splash when he brought Mike McDaniel aboard as the offensive coordinator. McDaniel will presumably have a lot of say over the scheme.
With L.A. passing game coordinator Marcus Brady reportedly following Jesse Minter to the Baltimore Ravens, it appears that's the role Gase will occupy.
As much as he faded from the spotlight, his stock could rise quickly again if the Chargers put a good offense on the field in 2026.
