Deion Sanders Calls for Change to Hall of Fame Voting amid Belichick Snub, Controversial Results
Colorado head coach and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders believes Hall of Famers should be deciding who joins their ranks, not sportswriters, in the wake of Bill Belichick's snub during the voting process this year.
"Ask the Hall of Famers," he told ESPN's Kevin Clark (6:53 mark) while discussing how the Hall of Fame could improve its induction process. "Ask the Hall of Famers. ... I wouldn't want the Grinch who stole Christmas voting on a beauty pageant. How do you know what beauty is?"

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Sanders already made his feelings known on the Belichick snub:
He wasn't the only former NFL player to have a strong opinion on the current voting process. Former wideout Randy Moss offered his two cents as well:
The counterargument is that the writers and former executives who make up the panel of voters are often scholars and historians of the game. If you don't have to be a chef to be a trusted food critic, or a director to be a well-regarded movie critic, than should you be required to be a former player or coach—or even more stringently, a Hall of Famer yourself—to have a vote?
There are plenty of former players, Hall of Famers even, who have expressed plenty of questionable takes in their time. Perhaps a better blending of writers, former players and coaches would make sense, but narrowing the voting to only HoF members seems a bit too dramatic.
