Patriots Fans Sound Off on Tom Brady's Controversial Super Bowl Prediction Comment in New Video
Tom Brady is still facing backlash for his noncommittal prediction for Sunday's Super Bowl LX between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
During an episode of the Let's Go! podcast last week, Brady declared, "I don't have a dog in the fight in this one. May the best team win." Many expected him to pick the Patriots to win, considering his legendary run as New England's quarterback that included six of his seven career Super Bowl titles.
In a video for Yahoo Sports, Patriots fans who touched down in Santa Clara, California, for Sunday's Big Game at Levi's Stadium didn't hold back their vitriol for Brady's refusal to support New England with his Super Bowl prediction:
Brady's comments on Super Bowl LX drew massive criticisms from his former Patriots teammates Vince Wilfork and Asante Samuel, among others. His position as a lead NFL analyst for Fox didn't hold up as an excuse, as ESPN analyst and former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi didn't hesitate to pick New England to win the Lombardi Trophy this year.
Of course, Brady's lack of support for the Patriots likely won't hurt his status as a legend in New England. However, if the Patriots fall short against the Seahawks on Sunday, Brady will continue to face criticism for not backing his old team.
