Packers Rumors on Malik Willis, Romeo Doubs' Potential Landing Spots in NFL Free Agency
While re-signing backup quarterback Malik Willis will probably be difficult for the Green Bay Packers, "the door isn't closed" on a reunion with wide receiver Romeo Doubs, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Willis threw for 422 yards and three touchdowns across four appearances when filling in for Jordan Love. That added to an encouraging 2024 campaign in Green Bay, when he finished with 550 yards and three touchdowns in seven games.

Teams in need of a quarterback could potentially be aggressive in pursuit of the 2022 third-round pick. Fowler cited the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins as two possible options.
Miami hired former Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as head coach, so the Dolphins would know Willis better than a lot of suitors. The Cardinals have a small connection as well since their new head coach, Mike LaFleur, is brothers with Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur.
Arizona (Kyler Murray) and Miami (Tua Tagovailoa) both have starters in whom they've invested a lot of money. Either team could plausibly make a change, though, with Murray and Tagovailoa's stock steadily falling.
Signing Willis would obviously come with some risk. He has only started six games in the NFL. When free agency is pretty barren at quarterback, a short-term gamble at least makes some sense.
The market for Doubs may not be quite so frenzied.
The 2022 fourth-rounder has 2,424 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns in 59 career games. He has been an effective secondary target but has yet to make a major breakthrough on the field.
Spotrac pegs Doubs' value at $12 million annually. Should the price climb a little too high for Green Bay's liking, Fowler wrote the Las Vegas Raiders or Tennessee Titans could pounce.
Neither Las Vegas nor Tennessee has a true No. 1 aerial option. Doubs wouldn't address that need but would provide depth to the receiving corps.
