Mike Vrabel's Prep for Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime Show During Patriots' Practice Revealed
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is leaving no stone unturned in terms of preparing his team for the full Super Bowl experience.
In a pool report after Friday's practice, The Ringer's Lindsay Jones noted Vrabel pulled his team off the field an hour into their session and had them sit in the locker room for 14 minutes while Bad Bunny songs played over the sound system to simulate what halftime at Super Bowl 60 will feel like.

Halftime during the regular season only lasts 13 minutes, but intermission during the Super Bowl will typically range from 25-30 minutes with the musical performance added in.
In a February 2019 story, Ben Shpigel of the New York Times described traditional halftimes as "caffeinated" because of how quickly everything moves with players adjusting pads, changing cleats, eating and drinking for sustenance, then huddling with coaches to make a small adjustment or two.
The description Shpigel used for halftime during the Super Bowl was a "slow drip" because there is just more time to do everything:
"Players sit at their stools for a few minutes. They can breathe, and they can think, mindful of preserving energy without cooling down. Coaches convene for several minutes compiling a checklist. Assistants communicate corrections and tactical adjustments. Coordinators gather units at the ends of the room. Trainers wield foam rollers to smooth tight muscles. Head coaches emphasize points. Officials remind teams when 10 minutes remain, then five, then two."
That extra time to make adjustments has often been cited when teams are able to erase a multi-score deficit in the first half.
For instance, several members of the Kansas City Chiefs specifically credited their break against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57 as being a key factor in erasing a 24-14 deficit.
Vrabel's tactic of simulating the Super Bowl halftime experience is a strategy that was previously used by former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick in an attempt to make sure the players were able to adjust their routine for the difference in time.
We will find out if it pays off for Vrabel and the Patriots on Sunday when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60 at Levi's Stadium.
