Michigan Football: Any Questions?
Big House BobSep 13, 2009
In a day where all of Michigan's rivals lost, it was nice to have the sun shining on the Wolverines for a change.
There were a number of questions answered on Saturday. I will give you my impression below:
- Tate Forcier is Michigan's QB
- Brandon Minor is Michigan's RB
- Michigan should have run the ball more in the first half
- Jimmy Clausen is a good QB but has trouble when he is rushed
- ND's Offensive Line is much improved
- Michigan State when Michigan State on Saturday
- Western Michigan is not as good as we thought
- Terrelle Pryor still needs to work leadership and other QB skills
- Ohio State's defense is really good again
- With the MSU loss, the Big Ten could of had a very bad day, but did it's part and won the games they should have.
What was nice to see during the game:
- Michigan's depth at WR
- Greg Robinson and RR both making the proper adjustments at halftime
- JT Floyd (who gave up the only TD last week) mad the last tackle of the game
- The Noise is the Big House! It was jumping!
- Tate Forcier playing beyond his years
- Michigan's balanced offense
- The return of Brandon Minor
- A TD out of specials teams
- No fumbles and Tate's pick looked like a mistake from Matthews
What worries me:
- Tate is one good hit away from Michigan not having a passing game
- Michigan's depth at WR, safety, and cornerback
- The lack of QB pressure for the Michigan D in the first half
- The Michigan D gave up too many yards
- Missed field goal and not getting a touchdown on 1st and goal from the one.
All and all this was a wonderful win for the Wolverines. Something this program really needs. They now have to take care of business the next two weeks against Eastern Michigan and Indiana. Both games Michigan will be favored but as we remember there are no easy games and they will need to have similar focus that they have had for the first two weeks of the season.
- Michigan is now ranked #25 in the AP!
