Will Maxx Crosby Be Traded? NFL Insider Updates Star's Future amid Raiders Rumors
FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer feels Maxx Crosby has played his final game with the Las Vegas Raiders.
When asked during a Wednesday appearance on Yahoo Sports Daily if he felt Crosby's time with the Raiders is over, Glazer answered, "I do."
Glazer also said it would likely be Crosby, not the Raiders, pushing for the move.
The Raiders would probably receive a haul bigger than the Micah Parsons trade if they ultimately trade Crosby, Glazer estimated.
Crosby is signed through 2029, although the guaranteed money on his deal runs only through 2027, per Spotrac.
The Raiders star currently has $30 million in guaranteed 2026 salary, as well as $29 million in 2027 guarantees set to kick in this March, according to Spotrac.
The Cowboys traded Parsons to the Green Bay Packers last August in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round picks from the 2026 and 2027 drafts.
Parsons also agreed to a four-year extension that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL as part of the trade.
Crosby earned a fifth consecutive Pro Bowl nod last season after racking up 10.0 sacks and a career-high 28 tackles for loss in 15 games.
He also recorded 20 quarterback hits, six passes defensed, two forced fumbles and an interception.
Despite missing two games, Crosby still finished the season having ranked second among all edge defenders with 935 total snaps played.
Crosby was surrounded by trade rumors throughout the 2025 season, but talk picked up following an apparent split between the Raiders and their star defender as to whether he should be playing down the stretch of the season.
The Raiders ultimately sidelined Crosby for the last two games of the campaign by placing him on IR due to a lingering knee injury. He left the team facility when told he would be sitting out those two games, former Las Vegas head coach Pete Carroll confirmed in December.
That strategy ultimately helped the Raiders finish the season 3-14 and receive the top pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
The Raiders may need to decide now if the franchise is looking to win in the short term or turn their focus toward a rebuild, in which case moving Crosby ahead of his age-29 season could make sense in order to bring in more draft capital.
Crosby has missed time due to injury in each of the last two seasons, including a season-ending ankle injury that cut short his 2024 campaign. He still returned in 2025 to remain one of the disruptive pass rushers in the NFL.
If the Raiders ultimately decide to shop him with the Parsons deal as a benchmark, interested teams may need to be willing to part ways with multiple first-round picks in order to bolster their pass rush in 2026.
