Drake 'Most Popular Choice' in NFL Player Poll for Super Bowl Halftime After Bad Bunny Performs

Doric SamFeb 2, 2026

Sunday's Super Bowl LX between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks features a much anticipated Halftime Show headlined by Bad Bunny, but some around the NFL have already begun wondering about who could be in line for future performances.

As part of The Athletic's annual NFL anonymous player survey, players were asked who their dream halftime performer would be, and among living artists, rapper Drake was "the most popular choice." He was memorably dissed throughout Kendrick Lamar's halftime show last year.

Still, there was a slew of other options named as dream halftime performers for the Super Bowl.

"Beyonce," an AFC offensive player said. "They should just let her do it every year."

"I've gotta get George Strait in there, followed by a close Chris Stapleton," an NFC offensive player said. "His national anthem was awesome, so let's give him halftime."

"I feel like we should have had E-40 or somebody from the Bay (area) do it," an NFC defensive player said.

"Florence & The Machine. But I don't know if everybody would rock with that," another NFC defensive player suggested.

As for this year's halftime show, Bad Bunny will undoubtedly have a strong contingent of supporters as the first Spanish-language artist to perform on the Super Bowl halftime stage.

"Bad Bunny is awesome," an AFC special teamer said. "I've been to a concert before, and he's great."

The overall winner of the dream halftime performer poll was the late Michael Jackson.

"If we're talking about my dream, it would be Michael Jackson," an NFC defensive player said with a laugh. "But that's obviously not happening."

Jackson performed at Super Bowl XXVII in January 1993, which is one of the most iconic halftime shows of all time. It was noted that "none of the respondents seemed to be under the impression that Jackson, who died in 2009, was a potential future halftime performer."
