New Klint Kubiak Rumors on Possibility OC Returns to Seahawks amid Raiders, Cardinals Buzz
Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak reportedly might remain with the team despite having interviews set up with the Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals for their head coaching vacancies.
Tony Pauline of EssentiallySports reported Saturday that his sense was Kubiak would "likely return to Seattle rather than take the head coaching job with Arizona," unless he's blown away by an offer.
Kubiak also must be comfortable with Raiders minority owner Tom Brady "looking over" his shoulder and "potentially second-guessing decisions" if he were to be hired by them, per Pauline.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
He currently isn't able to sign any official contract with another team until Feb. 9, the day after the Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
A return to Seattle would be a surprise, as ESPN's Adam Schefter said Friday that Kubiak is "definitely getting" one of the Raiders or Cardinals jobs.
Still, he may choose to avoid joining an Arizona squad currently navigating through the aftermath of a 3-14 finish in 2025 as well as the murky future of quarterback Kyler Murray.
While the Raiders own the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft and could bring a top prospect such as Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Kubiak might not be on board with Brady watching over his decision-making.
It's easy to see why both teams have maintained interest in him, though.
The Seahawks excelled offensively this season, ranking No. 3 in the NFL by averaging 28.4 points per game. They ranked No. 18 and No. 17 in scoring offense during the two seasons prior to Kubiak's arrival.
Sam Darnold also put together an impressive year in 2025, completing a career-high 67.7 percent of his passes for 4,048 yards and 25 touchdowns to go along with 14 interceptions.
