Latest Rumors on Giants OC Search, Potential Charlie Weis Jr., Jaxson Dart Reunion
LSU offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. has generated attention regarding the New York Giants' vacancy for the same role, according to SNY's Connor Hughes.
Weis was previously the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss alongside Jaxson Dart, New York's current starter under center.
Per Hughes, Weis isn't the current favorite for the Giants' offensive coordinator role but he's a "name that keeps coming up in league circles." Weis and Dart also reportedly "remain close."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Weis served as the Rebels' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2022-25. Weis stayed with Ole Miss through the 2025 season before following head coach Lane Kiffin to LSU.
The 32-year-old previously interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles for the team's offensive coordinator job, but ultimately stayed with the Tigers.
New York remains on the hunt for a new offensive coordinator under head coach John Harbaugh, who was hired on Jan. 17.
The team is set to interview Los Angeles Chargers quarterbacks coach Shane Day for the position on Saturday, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
The Giants are coming off a 4-13 finish in 2025 and missed the playoffs for the third straight year, but Dart was a bright spot for the team as a rookie.
He completed 63.7 percent of his throws for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns compared to five interceptions. Dart also rushed for 487 yards and nine scores.
It's easy to see why the Giants are linked to Weis, as Dart thrived while playing under him in college. He threw for 10,617 yards and 72 touchdowns while getting picked off 22 times across three seasons during their shared tenure with the Rebels.
