Grant Udinski, Anthony Campanile Agree to New Jaguars Contracts amid NFL HC Rumors

Andrew PetersJan 27, 2026

After an outstanding 2025 campaign, the Jacksonville Jaguars are bringing back their offensive and defensive coordinators.

The team announced Tuesday that offensive coordinator Grant Udinski and defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile have agreed to new contracts that will keep them in Jacksonville for the 2026 season.

Udinski, just 30 years old, has had a quick ascension in the NFL. He got his start with the Carolina Panthers as a coaching assistant in 2020 and was with the Minnesota Vikings in various roles from 2022 to 2024. He joined Liam Coen's staff in Jacksonville last offseason.

Under Udinksi, the Jaguars posted the 11th-most yards per game (337.4) and the sixth-most points per game (27.9) in the NFL this year. His success in his first season naturally made him a candidate for a few head coaching gigs around the league.

Upon signing the deal, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated noted that Udinksi withdrew from the Cleveland Browns' head coaching search. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Jaguars allowed Udinski to keep his name in the running for the Buffalo Bills' job, though they've since hired Joe Brady as head coach.

Campanile got his first NFL job in 2020 as a linebackers coach for the Miami Dolphins. He stayed in that role until 2024, when he took the same job with the Green Bay Packers.

His first season as an NFL defensive coordinator was a successful one. He helped the Jags allow the 11th-fewest yards per game (303.6) and the eighth-fewest points per game (19.8).

Like Udinski, Campanile was getting attention as a head coaching candidate, as he was considered to be a finalist for the Arizona Cardinals' head coaching gig.

Ultimately, both coordinators will return to their positions, at least during the 2026 campaign. The Jaguars put together one of their best seasons in franchise history, but it ended with a wild-card round exit. They'll look to make their first Super Bowl run ever next year.
