Fresh NFL Rumors on Kyler Murray's Trade Value After Dante Moore's Decision Ahead of 2026 Draft
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore's decision to forgo the 2026 NFL draft and stay in school for another year reportedly had a large impact on the future of a veteran signal-caller.
According to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss, "multiple sources" said that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray's "trade value increased" following Moore's announcement that he was returning to the Ducks.
"One less quarterback on the market makes desperation increase," one source told Weinfuss.

Murray is expected to be a top trade candidate this offseason, and the lack of quarterback prospects in the 2026 draft class will only increase the demand for the 2019 No. 1 pick. Indiana's Fernando Mendoza is projected to be selected No. 1 overall by the Las Vegas Raiders, while no other quarterbacks in this year's class have proven to be worthy of a first-round pick as of yet.
An NFC source told Weinfuss that the starting price for Murray "could start with a second-round pick." The source added that "if the Cardinals can trade Murray, they will."
Another league source told Weinfuss that Murray's trade market "starts with a third-round pick" and compared his situation to veteran Geno Smith getting traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Raiders last off season for a third-round selection. However, the source pointed out that Murray "is a more talented player" than Smith, which could help drive the price up.
All signs point to Murray's tenure in Arizona coming to an end this offseason, so it remains to be seen if the Cardinals will receive the compensation they're seeking for their former franchise quarterback.
