'Talk That S--t Today:' Patriots' Milton Williams Calls Out Haters After Reaching Super Bowl
The New England Patriots were roundly considered the favorites in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, given the season-ending injury to Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.
But the team apparently created some bulletin-board material for itself anyway.
"Everybody doubted us," defensive lineman Milton Williams said after New England's 10-7 win. "Everybody talking about we ain't this, we ain't that. They got no more O-line, all this and that. I wanna hear something today. Talk that s--t today. I want to hear it!"

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In the spirit of granting Williams his wish, here goes:
- The Patriots played the easiest schedule in the NFL during the regular season (.391 strength of schedule). Their strength of win (.370) was the lowest mark of any playoff team.
- Their postseason run included a win over a Los Angeles Chargers team that was so injured on the offensive line it featured second- and third-team options. CJ Stroud was awful in the Divisional Round, throwing four horrific interceptions. And then the Pats faced a backup quarterback in the AFC Championship Game.
- On Sunday, the Patriots benefitted from two highly controversial calls and held a 10-7 lead when the weather conditions turned borderline unplayable.
Now, in the spirit of fairness, the Patriots are a well-coached team, the defense has been mostly stout in the postseason and Drake Maye has made just enough plays to secure wins. But it's hard to ignore just how fortunate this run has been.
