Bill Belichick to Bills? Fresh Rumors on UNC HC amid Rex Ryan's Viral Pitch After McDermott's Firing
The Buffalo Bills have an opening at head coach after firing Sean McDermott, but they reportedly have no interest in bringing in a six-time Super Bowl champion.
After ESPN's Rex Ryan turned some heads when bringing up Buffalo as a potential landing spot for Bill Belichick, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported Sunday that "the Bills are not interested."
Florio also pointed out the former New England Patriots coach is "currently regarded as radioactive by most NFL teams" and that hiring him would mean "the current employees of the football operation would have to worry about Belichick showing up and taking over, firing long-time employees and bringing in his own people."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There is no arguing with Belichick's resume as a coaching legend with nine Super Bowl appearances and six Lombardi Trophies during his time with the Patriots.
He and Tom Brady engineered a modern-day dynasty and remained the gold standard of the sport for nearly two decades.
However, the Patriots went 4-13 in Belichick's final season in 2023. He took a year off coaching and then returned in 2025 as the head coach of North Carolina only to go 4-8 during a tumultuous first season in the collegiate ranks.
Given his recent history, the Bills reportedly have no interest in bringing in the 73-year-old.
Instead, they have been connected to a number of candidates, including Brian Daboll, Joe Brady, Anthony Lynn, Lou Anarumo, Davis Webb, Mike McDaniel and even Philip Rivers.
It doesn't seem like Belichick will be joining that list.
