Liverpool Transfer News: Huge Deals Targeted in Latest Anfield Rumours
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been offered an opportunity to end his Anfield woes and join compatriot Gianfranco Zola at Qatari club Al-Arabi.
The Reds look to have little use for Balotelli anymore following the arrivals of strikers Danny Ings and Christian Benteke, and the Italian has played no role in the club's pre-season preparations.
Liverpool have previously been reported to be open to offers for the under-performing Balotelli, and Al-Arabi head coach Zola has indicated he would take the 24-year-old off their hands, per Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t ESPN FC's Kevin Palmer):

"Cassano and Balotelli? They are two top players, and it could be an excellent opportunity for them to play in a league with less scrutiny, recharge their batteries, and return to Europe as protagonists. I'd recommend it as an experience. We have a lot of players, but if I had the opportunity [to sign them] I'd so it without a second thought.
"
Balotelli could certainly do with a spell away from the limelight as he had an atrocious time of it in the 2014-15 season, scoring just a single Premier League goal following his £16 million move to Merseyside from AC Milan, per WhoScored.com.
However, he may be more open to a move back to Serie A, with Sampdoria and Bologna both previously being reported as interested in signing him up, per Corriere dello Sport (h/t Sky Sports).
Balotelli looks to be potentially pricing himself out of the market, though, as Samp president Massimo Ferrero has dropped his interest in the striker because of his wage request, per Eurosport:
This could lead to a slightly awkward situation, as if no club is willing to stump up for Balotelli's wages, he could find himself remaining at Liverpool, a club where he is clearly no longer wanted.
Al-Arabi might then be an option for Balotelli, as they may be willing to pay him more than any interested Serie A clubs. And, as Zola mentions, it would offer the former Manchester City man an opportunity to flourish away from constant scrutiny.
Liverpool Ready Negredo Bid
While Liverpool are eager to see the back of Balotelli, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is apparently not finished with bolstering his strike options.
According to Fichajes.net (h/t Metro's Jamie Sanderson), Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Valencia's Alvaro Negredo.
The report suggests the Reds are set to make an offer for the Spanish striker with Valencia ready to accept a bid of £21.2 million.
As noted by Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe, Liverpool look in a good position to improve on their 2014-15 Premier League points tally in the the coming season having added necessary depth to the squad:
Negredo would bring even greater strength to an attacking unit that was so inconsistent last season in the absence of Daniel Sturridge through injury.
He also already has Premier League experience from his time with City, but Negredo himself insists he wants to stay put at Valencia, per MailOnline's Luke Augustus.
It may not be his choice, though, as Los Che are apparently eager to sell him off to raise funds. If that is indeed the case, Liverpool may do well to bring him in as another goalscoring threat in their attack.
