New NFL Rumors on Kliff Kingsbury, Brian Daboll, Arthur Smith, Candidates for Titans OC Job

Julia StumbaughJan 22, 2026

The Tennessee Titans are considering multiple candidates with previous NFL head coaching experience to serve as Robert Saleh's offensive coordinator next season, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Pelissero reported Thursday that Kliff Kingsbury, Arthur Smith, Brian Daboll, Adam Stenavich and Bobby Slowik are "among the potential options" to become the Titans' next OC.

Whoever is ultimately hired will work with Saleh, who is reportedly on track to be the Titans' next head coach after spending last season as the San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator.

Kingsbury, who has previous head coaching experience with the Arizona Cardinals, led Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels to a historic rookie season in 2024 but left Washington after the Commanders' offense struggled in 2025.

The Titans could hope Kingsbury's experience managing successful early-career seasons with both Daniels and Kyler Murray could help him guide Ward's development going forward.

Daboll, a former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator who worked with Josh Allen during some of the best seasons of his career so far, is available following his midseason firing as the New York Giants' head coach.

The Athletic's Diannia Russini recently reported that Daboll "wants the Bills' head coaching job," and that if he isn't hired by Buffalo he is "expected to wind up in Tennessee."

Smith is another candidate with a background in head coaching, having led the Atlanta Falcons for three seasons before spending the last two as the Pittsburgh Steelers' OC.

The two relatively less experienced candidates on the list are Stenavich, who has worked his way up the Green Bay Packers offensive staff since 2019, and Bobby Slowik, who spent five seasons on the San Francisco 49ers' offensive staff and two as the Houston Texans' OC before joining the Dolphins as a senior passing game coordinator last season.

Whoever the Titans ultimately land on will be tasked with helping Ward take a step forward in his second NFL season, while also completely revamping a offense that ranked 30th in the league in both passing and rushing yards last season.
