Latest Falcons Rumors on Kevin Stefanski's OC, DC and More Staff Changes After Signing HC Contract
It reportedly isn't taking long for new Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski to put together his next coaching staff.
The Falcons announced Monday that defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich agreed to a new contract, which NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported is a three-year deal.
On Wednesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Tommy Rees is in line to be named offensive coordinator:

Rapoport first reported Sunday that "Ulbrich is going to stay on as defensive coordinator, and Tommy Rees is likely going to be the OC. He was with him in Cleveland, and Bill Callahan is likely to be the offensive line coach."
Callahan was announced as the offensive line coach on Tuesday:
Ulbrich was the defensive coordinator in Atlanta in 2020 and returned to the same position this past season. He was also the DC for the New York Jets from 2021 through 2024 while also working as the AFC East team's interim head coach in his final season after Robert Saleh was fired.
The Jets went 3-9 with Ulbrich as the interim coach but finished in the top four of the league in yards allowed in each of his final three seasons.
While Atlanta was just 15th in yards allowed in 2025, that type of track record with a Jets team that struggled on the offensive side surely stood out to Stefanski.
As for Rees, he was an offensive assistant for the Cleveland Browns in 2024 before becoming their OC under Stefanski this past season. There is some familiarity in place there, but Cleveland was also 31st in scoring and 30th in yards during Rees' one season as OC.
That means he will be under a spotlight when he takes over his new position in Atlanta, although he'll at least have better offensive weapons in Bijan Robinson, Drake London and others.
Callahan will add a veteran presence to the coaching staff who has been on staffs for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Washington, Browns and Tennessee Titans.
He was the head coach of the Raiders in 2002 and 2003 and was most recently the offensive line coach of the Titans the last two seasons. He also worked with Stefanski in Cleveland prior to his time with Tennessee.
Ultimately, though, it will be Stefanski who is under the biggest spotlight with the Falcons.
The two-time Coach of the Year led the Browns to the playoffs in 2020 and 2023 and won the franchise's first postseason game since 1994. However, Cleveland finished in last place in the AFC North in each of the last two seasons and decided to make a change this offseason.
The Falcons job gives him a chance to bounce back after the recent struggles and return to the playoffs.
