Lil Jon to Perform Halftime Show for 49ers vs. Seahawks After Placing in Bodybuilding Competition

Scott PolacekJan 14, 2026

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks won't be the only ones putting on a show at Lumen Field during Saturday's NFC Divisional Round game.

The Seahawks announced that Grammy-winning rapper Lil Jon will perform at halftime.

King 5 News in Seattle noted Lil Jon also performed at the Seahawks' road game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 25. Seattle won that game 23-20 with a field goal from Jason Myers as time expired, so perhaps it is hoping to bring some more of that good fortune with the performer.

The Sept. 25 performance came shortly after Lil Jon placed third in a bodybuilding competition at Venice Beach in Los Angeles. It was the 54-year-old's first-ever bodybuilding competition, and he competed in the Men's Physique Master's Over 45 category.

That he is performing at Saturday's game is notable since football helped push him toward his fitness goals.

Milo F. Bryant of Men's Health detailed Lil Jon's fitness journey that largely started when he wanted to get in better shape for when he shared the stage with Usher and Ludacris at the 2024 Las Vegas Super Bowl. He partnered with friend and trainer Jay Galvin and undertook a fitness routine that included weight training, cardio and specific dieting.

"Jon got a lot of comments about how great he looked," Galvin said of the Super Bowl performance.

That motivated him to train toward the bodybuilding competition, and now he will once again be on stage for a football game Saturday.
