Maxx Crosby Says 'S--t Is About to Be Iconic' amid Knee Injury, Raiders Rumors
Las Vegas Raiders star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby is excited for his long-term outlook following a knee injury.
"Everything Happens For A Reason," Crosby wrote in a Saturday post on X. "What's Meant To Be Cannot Be Denied. What's Already Known Doesn't Have To Be Explained. When It's All Said & Done… I Will Be A Champion & One Of The Greatest To Ever Do It. They Can Sleep & Doubt All They Want But Cream Always Rises To The Top…. The Greatest Days Are Ahead. 8 Surgeries In. Obsession. Discomfort. Sacrifice. I'm Willing To Give It All To Achieve My Goals. Adversity Will Always Reveal A Man's Character. Year 8 Incoming.. This S--t Is About To Be Iconic. Don't Blink."
Crosby previously announced that he underwent successful knee surgery on Wednesday.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that he could be available on the trade market if the "strained relationship" between the Raiders and the five-time Pro Bowler isn't repaired.
Crosby missed the final two games of the regular season due to the knee injury, as Las Vegas finished with a 1-1 record over that span and secured the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported that Crosby "vehemently disagreed" with the Raiders' decision to shut him down over their last two contests and left their facilities after he was informed of the news.
John Spytek, Las Vegas' general manager, ultimately wasn't too worried about the situation.
Spytek told reporters Monday that Crosby "didn't love the idea" of being sidelined to close out the year, but still "embodies what a Raider is."
"I've been pretty up front with that from the day I sat up here a year ago and I continue to believe that," Spytek said.
The Raiders have a busy offseason ahead, as they're also searching for a new head coach after firing Pete Carroll while evaluating prospects to potentially select with the top pick in the draft.
As for Crosby, he continued to perform at an elite level in 2025 despite his season coming to a premature end. He racked up 73 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 20 quarterback hits, 10 sacks and six passes defended in 15 games.
Crosby also amassed 53 pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.
With the knee procedure now behind him, he's already looking forward to his 2026 campaign.
