Caleb Williams Reveals How He's 'Like a Little Kid' During Bears' Viral Chant
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has really gotten into the club's "good, better, best" chant they use in the postgame locker room to celebrate victories.
Speaking to ESPN's Courtney Cronin, Williams explained that he feels "like a little kid" whenever the opportunity presents itself to use the rallying cry.
"It's something that caught fire within us in our locker room, and I love it," the Bears star said. "I'm always right there like a little kid up there in the front of the classroom just ready to frickin' raise my hand."

The full chant goes: "Good, better, best/Never let it rest/Till your good gets better/And your better gets best
The chant started as first-year head coach Ben Johnson's message to the team after a 38-0 victory over the Buffalo Bills in the preseason. Safety Kevin Byard told The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain back in November that it initially caught everyone off guard.
"When he first did it, we were kind of like, what's going on?" Byard said. "He's just like, 'Just repeat after me,' and we're just like 'Uh', just looking around like, 'OK?'"
As this season has gone on and the Bears found success, fans joined the players in embracing the chant. It has now become a staple of their postgame locker room after a victory.
Fishbain noted the chant has been a staple of country singer Chase Rice's pre-show routine for 12 years and it was something he learned while playing on the same high school football team with Johnson in North Carolina.
Even though the chant may have started out receiving some eyerolls from Bears players, Johnson has made them believers with an 11-6 record and an NFC North title in his first season as head coach.
Williams finished the regular season with a franchise-record 3,942 passing yards and a career-high 27 touchdown passes.
This season marked Chicago's first time with double-digit wins and a division title since 2018. The Bears will look to keep the good vibes going on Saturday night when they host the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card game.
