Here are the full voting results for the award.
Smith-Njigba is the second Seahawks player to win the award and the first since running back Shaun Alexander did so after his 2005 campaign.
While the third-year receiver already operated as a key piece of Seattle's offense in 2023 and 2024, expectations were high for him ahead of his latest season following the blockbuster March 2025 trade that sent wideout DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Smith-Njigba ultimately exceeded the hype, leading the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards in 17 games. He averaged a career-high 15.1 yards per reception, finding the end zone 10 times after scoring 10 touchdowns across his first two seasons combined.
Smith-Njigba's production was especially impressive considering he played his first year with Sam Darnold at quarterback after operating alongside Geno Smith from 2023-24.
It didn't take long for him to establish chemistry with Darnold, though. The signal-caller owned a 120.8 passer rating when targeting Smith-Njigba, according to Pro Football Focus.
The duo, along with the NFL's best scoring defense, helped Seattle clinch the No. 1 spot in the NFC playoff picture with a 14-3 record before advancing to Super Bowl LX.
During Seattle's postseason run, Smith-Njigba has caught 13 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns in two games
Now, he'll be taking home some hardware.
