Aaron Rodgers Happy to 'Shut All Those Comments Down' After 'Fire Tomlin' Chants from Steelers Fans
Aaron Rodgers responded to chants from fans calling for the firing of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin after the team clinched the AFC North with a 10-7 record.
"It feels good to shut all those comments down," Rodgers said Thursday, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor. "Clean the slate now anybody can make a run. It's the hottest team. We've won four of five. We're playing a lot better football than we were earlier in the season. I like our chances"
The Steelers opened their 2025 campaign with a 4-1 record, but ended up dropping five of their next seven games. As they fell to 6-6 with a home loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 13, fans at Acrisure Stadium could be heard chanting for Tomlin to be dismissed.

Pittsburgh responded with a three-game win streak, falling to the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 before locking up a playoff spot with a 26-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens that concluded with a missed 44-yard field goal by Ravens kicker Tyler Loop.
Rodgers has been a key part of the Steelers' success this year, as the four-time MVP has turned back the clock. He's completed 65.7 percent of his throws for 3,322 yards and 24 touchdowns compared to just seven interceptions in 16 games.
Now, Pittsburgh will look to go on a deep playoff run after coming up short in recent years. The Steelers have lost in the Wild Card round in each of their past four postseason trips and haven't won a playoff game since the 2016 season.
Pittsburgh will face the Houston Texans in a Wild Card clash on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET.
