Mike Tomlin Discusses How DK Metcalf Handled Suspension for Physical Altercation with Lions Fan
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf will be back in the mix this week after a two-game suspension.
While he was out for two weeks, head coach Mike Tomlin said Metcalf will need no time to ramp up.
"How I work him back in is immediately," Tomlin said on the Rich Eisen Show. "He's a guy that's ready to go, certainly. He was able to go work out and so forth in the midst of the two games. So, I don't expect there to be any rust or any issues relative to him getting back from the moving train."

There were certainly challenges for the Steelers without Metcalf, but Tomlin said those challenges will only make the team better.
"Certainly, we're excited about having him back. But, certainly, there's growth in not having him," Tomlin said. "Us having to strategize and grow from that perspective, individual players getting an opportunity to rise up and expand their roles and make plays. So, hopefully we benefit from having him back, but also just some of the challenges of having to function without him as well."
The Steelers have a tall task ahead of them as they face the Houston Texans in the wild card round on Monday. The return of Metcalf, the team's leading receiver, will make that game significantly less challenging.
